  • The indigenous people of Bolivia have got it right – climate change is about life! if we don’t get into the right relationship with our planet – Mother Earth, government and politics will be rendered useless because we humans won’t be around.

  • Reading Mobiot’s ‘Age of Consent’ I agree that the developing world needs to act together to help the developed world realise this is serious. Monbiot suggests if all developed countries threaten to default on their IMF loans then the G20 will stop and listen. Now is the time to consider when the banks and finances are so weak anyway.Watch out thought the US and UK will fight like hell whilst stopping and listening. History has shown they will stop at little to keep the power they have, unless their voters can clearly see by keeping it their messing things up.

If a forum/parliament where started to put together where say 1 representative for 10m people (~600 people in all) could discuss and come to a moral view on the way forward. There is no way they would have executive power, but it would have moral authority the US/UK compromised IMF, World Bank and UN. Those not following its guidance could be highlighted and the decisions best for the world not just best for the rich/US short term might start to happen.
