On 24th March 2010 Bishop William Kenney will be presiding at the first Mass to mark the anniversary of Archbishop Oscar Romero’s death to be held in the Archdiocese of Birmingham. This year sees the 30th anniversary of Archbishop Romero’s assassination.
The Mass will coincide with Archbishop Longley’s visit to El Salvador with CAFOD to mark the anniversary there.
The Mass begins at 7pm and will be followed by a reception in the Grimshaw Room with an opportunity to hear a CAFOD speaker and to watch a film about Romero’s life and work, as well as refreshments and resources to purchase.
