Wolverhampton 30 June 2011, Rwandan visitors

St Peter & St Paul Parish, Wolverhampton will be hosting their Connect 2: Rwanda partners, Odette and Simon for an evening starting at 7.30pm.   Odette Kayirere (54) is a founder member of Rwandan widows’ organisation AVEGA, established to support the tens of thousands of women and children left widowed and orphaned after the Rwandan genocide of 1994. Odette lost her husband and most of her family in the genocide, and has dedicated herself to helping other widows ever since, with support from CAFOD.  Over the past year the parish of St Peter & St Paul have been communicating with the village of Musha, sharing stories and experiences, and this evening is an opportunity for Odette and Simon to hear more about the Birmingham Diocese and for us to hear about their work in Rwanda.  All are most welcome.  For further details contact the Birmingham Dicoesan office: birmingham@cafod.org.uk or 01922 722944
