Christina Weller is CAFOD’s economist. She provides support on economic research and analysis, and is responsible for representing our views on key economic policy issues.

She is currently researching lessons learned from the global economic crisis for developing countries, and how we can rebuild to better serve the objectives of ending poverty and sustainable development.

She says: “The development perspective is often missing in key economic policy processes and thinking – such as the G20 – it’s CAFOD’s job to address that gap.

“Economic policy is relevant to all our lives and decisions on how our economies run should not be the domain of a few experts and vested interests – so at CAFOD we also aim to make economics more accessible.”
