Karen with one of her godchildren, Karencita

Before joining CAFOD Karen worked for three years as a volunteer in Bolivia. She has now returned to open CAFOD’s Bolivia office.

Karen says: “I felt very privileged to be able to return to Bolivia and help others to learn about this amazing country. Having lived in various parts of Bolivia, I was very impressed by the change that CAFOD partners and the people they work with are achieving, often against all odds.

“Once again it confirmed to me that Bolivians know how to turn a small token of support into something that makes a real difference.

    Liefste Karen!

I was talking to a colleague of your today in Hallam Angela – and she told me that you are already in Bolivia – I think sharing an office with my daughter Emma!

Tonight I am having a Cafod meeting at home and we hope to have Bolivia as our country to raise funds this year!

Please keep me informed – buen suerte!

  • Hi Karen
I am doing my PhD on work and poverty in Bolivia ( regions Tipuani and Oruro).
I am planning to go to Bolivia for about 1.5 year and I thought you may be able to help me with this.
I am trying to establish contact with somebody that is actually and truly concerned about people and who could help me to get in contact with people in order to understand their living and personal experiences as first step for development planning and practice.

    My email is anthromei@yahoo.co.uk

Many thanks for all your work!

  • Hola Karen:
    Felicidades!!!
    Saludos
    Ana
