Lucy campaigns for CAFOD on climate change – she has represented the organisation at UN meetings as well as visiting communities having to cope with the impact of a changing climate.
She says: “In Kenya, witnessing people’s struggle to feed and water their animals in the baking heat, made me see the issue in a whole new way.
“I was struck by how much energy exists among the people I met to look after and protect the environment.
“And of course, just as with turning off your lights or cycling rather than driving, every action makes a difference. But I still felt overwhelmed by the injustice.”
