Montserrat Fernández is CAFOD’s Programme Officer for the Central America and Mexico team.
Originally from Barcelona, she is now based in Managua, Nicaragua, where she coordinates work with partners in Central America and Mexico.
She says: ”I always admire the bravery of staff in CAFOD’s partner organisations, especially the teams in the human rights organisations in the different countries where we work.
“I would not be able to live with that tension and be as brave and clear-thinking as they are. My admiration and respect goes out to them.”
