TeamCAFOD take the London Landmarks Half Marathon by storm!
On Sunday 7 April 2024, over 18,000 people ran through the heart of London, weaving through the iconic landmarks, to complete the extraordinary London Landmarks Half Marathon. Among them we saw five incredible TeamCAFOD runners cross the finish line.
With the weather forecasting wind gusts of up to 40mph, TeamCAFOD braced themselves for an even more challenging race than planned. As if running 13 miles isn’t hard enough!
Despite these less than ideal conditions, our runners did not shy away from the storm.
No matter how hard it got, through grit and determination all our runners successfully crossed the finish line at Downing Street – with some of the team even achieving personal bests!
James tells us all about his experience of running for TeamCAFOD:
“I had a great time running the London Landmarks Half Marathon for CAFOD. It’s such a fun event, you get to see all the sights. The atmosphere on the day was just amazing and the whole CAFOD team were really supportive. If you think you might want to run for CAFOD, my advice would be to just go for it! It’s a great experience and you get to raise money for some really important causes.”
