Ged and Louie’s Big Lent Walkies!

Ged will be taking on the Big Lent Walk this year with his dog Louie. Will you join them?

The Big Lent Walk is back

This Lenten season, join hundreds of individuals, families, schools and parishes as they step up to take on the Big Lent Walking Challenge. Thousands of people will be raising money to fight global poverty as they walk 200km over 40 days, taking the opportunity to put their faith into action.

Ged is just one walker who aims to raise at least £200 as he walks 200km (with Louie!) in order to strengthen his faith and make a difference during Lent.

Ged says, “We are taking on the Big Lent Walkies! Walking 200km before Easter (throughout Lent).

Louie says:

“Please sponsor us to raise money to help CAFOD’s wonderful partners help local people in Liberia build a long term future for themselves in the face of global poverty.”

Ged continues:

“I’ve seen the astonishing difference our support helps people bring about. CAFOD knows its partners well overseas and local people trust them,  Right now is such a crucial time to enable people adapt to what the changing climate is doing to their communities in the forgotten places of the world.”

CAFOD and SCIAF

This year we are teaming up with our sister agency in Scotland, SCIAF, to create a Great British Big Lent Walk. From John O’Groats to Land’s End, Dundee to Dover, and Cardiff to Coventry, people will be tying up their purple laces and walking to raise money for our sisters and brothers around the world.

How do I get involved?

Join Ged and Louie in the Big Lent Walk to make a positive difference in the lives of others.
