Hadayat Ullah 30, a farmer with his family lives in flood-affected village Makhno ogahi, Kandhkot district, Sindh Province, Pakistan. Hadayat told, “ During the floods our full village was filled with 3 to 4 feet of water we lost every thing except our self and few cattle. After the floods CAFOD’s partner, SPO has build a culvert in our village and they have also cleaned our water channel which benefits the land of 25 farmers and now I can cultivate my land again. Floods began during the Pakistani monsoon season in mid-August 2010 and 2011, resulting from heavy monsoon rains in Sindh. Kandhkot was one of the worst-affected districts of the Sindh province presents a gloomy picture of urban and rural areas in the province, which have been submerged four to five feet deep in water.
